We drove 4 hours from Toronto to Ottawa on a rainy dayβ¦ and it honestly made everything feel even more cinematic. First stop β the iconic Parliament Buildings. Standing tall in the rain, it looked straight out of a movie. Then we walked over to the Rideau Locksβ¦ completely still, no boats in sight. Just quiet water, the sound of rain, and a super peaceful atmosphere. Next up was the stunning Fairmont ChΓ’teau Laurier β this place seriously looks like a castle. Even in the rain, it was unreal. After that, we explored Notre-Dame Cathedral, and this mightβve been the highlight. The inside is absolutely breathtaking β the gold details, the ceilingβ¦ insane. To end the day, we grabbed dinner at Luxe Bistro, the perfect cozy spot after being out in the rain all day. Then just like thatβ¦ we made the long drive back home. Rain, no crowds, no boatsβ¦ and still one of the best day trips.
